- Design-Build and accelerated time frame – skilled on high profile projects for metropolitan and urban areas.
- Joint Venture - Project Teams, a contract between other engineering firms and my company to do any specific engineering work together.
- We deviate from the normal procedures and quickly develop and implement procedures that satisfy the project requirements and meet all Federal and State design criteria and guidelines.
- Good communication is essential for these types of situations and it is useful to apply the concepts of a design build project when constrained by time. This type of communication expedites construction and reduces the number of design revisions.
Project Management
- As licensed PE and Project Managers, we manage the traffic engineering studies during the planning phase, Traffic Control Devices (TCD)’s, Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) and geometric in the most complex and/or innovative highway and/or geometric improvement projects.
- Review and approve technical proposals, man-hour estimates and cost proposals.
- Provide approved plans, specifications and estimates for signal, signing, pavement markings, lighting and ITS projects.
- Schedule, attend, and lead meetings with consultant firms and other DOT offices to review, discuss, and resolve traffic control device design issues.
- Serve as Traffic Engineering Design Division liaisons for major and complex Highway and Bridge Design Division projects as well as District Special Projects to coordinate engineering design plans, specifications, and estimates related to all traffic control devices.
- Serve on special committees developing management policy and processes as needed.
- Prepare Preliminary Engineering and Construction estimates for the Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP).
- Monitor budget expenditures.
